It’s call let’s take advantage of obese people with a chronic issue after we poison you with plastics and medicine that make you gain weight . Then we flip the switch and call you names . The drug take 5 dollars to make a month and that is with commission . The law causing pharmacy benefit managers to be more transparent is fought every time . They don’t want you to know the mark up . They screw is all

Well to be fair this happens with ALL medications. Why can't they just price them properly vs making people jump through hoops and coupons to get discounts. And while manufacturing may cost $5 the development costs billions. While they are too expensive for sure, the $5 "cost" isn't really real since we aren't taking the whole picture into account.

Yes seriously as maybe there are some out there I’m unaware of…. I pay $878 and over the last 28 months have paid over $1100….. so yes other than LD which requires 45 days and vials…. Maybe there are ones I and many others are unaware of…. Every time I pick up my next box I cringe when I see the newest price. I’m use to pharmacy clerks getting Big Big eyes and stuttering as the ask me if I know how much it will be…. LD is now doing all doses but the 45 day thing is a deal killer for those of us on maintenance and trying to afford these life saving drugs….. ya I’m not joking!

Yeah, if I were in that situation, I would probably do the every 45 days for like six months and then let those meds last for two years. I would get the highest dose possible cause the expiration date is at least two years out.

I do not believe the drugs will last that long due to lack of Preservatives in the vial batches. Lilly has designed it that way…. The cost to me is 50% of my Soc Security check and thank god I have saved over my working career.

If you are on Maintenance this entire system will screw you, there are no studies other than the ones that say for most of us the Weight will pile right back on…. I have spent 28months (Yiks actually more) loosing 100lbs and at 4’10” that is literally Half of me…. I won’t go back and will continue to pay this out of my IRA and just hope there is an easier path in the future.

Yeah, that’s right if they’re not punctured they will but once you puncture him I guess you are risking it if you go on like four or six weeks. Well, thank God for compound while we have it.

Sadly not a long term possibility…. My PCP will send to LD on July 7 and we will see …. It’s criminal Lilly has no plan (or studies) to support long term users and those on a Maintenance Journey. This drug is a lifetime drug and not just 10 months. :(
